The bear and the wolf

The Appalachians were now-clad,

Water frozen into ice;

Igloos raised like lumps on the mow-bed,

Pines and firs of all size.

A quick wolf was on his way,

With a fish clenched firm in his mouth;

A fish-which he stole from a fisherman’s truck-tray,

Searching for a place isolated-clout.

An innocent bear came along,

Hungry and panting deeply;

He asked the shy wolf, “from where

Was this fish found?”

Replied the wolf, “In the frozen pond of Diagon Alley,

Make a hole with your nails;

Suspend your tail vertically,

And wait for the bite of the prey”

The simple-minded bear without a thought,

Hurried to the pond running;

Made a hole in the water-frost,

Released his tail and kept waiting.

Suddenly he felt a bite on his tail,

Only to see that it was cut into two;

All his patience in vain,

And he realized he was fooled.

So think twice before you do something,

Think thrice before you leap;

Never always be innocent in everything,

Coz the world knows how to play tricks
