An alliance and the Ponda conundrum

Only time will tell whether or not Congress and Goa Forward will come together to fight the 2022 Assembly elections. But, even if the two forge an alliance to keep the BJP at bay, the two parties may come face to face over the Ponda seat. While the Goa Forward had roped in former Ponda Municipal Council Chairperson Venkateshbab into the party fold as its candidate for 2022, Friday saw the Congress opening its doors for Rajeshbab Verenkar. Wait and watch how Leader of Opposition Digambarbab Kamat and Goa Forward Chief Vijaibab Sardesai grapple with this Ponda situation.
