Pernem police have resorted to public announcements over audio systems to spread awareness regarding Covid measures.
Pernem Police Inspector Jivba Dalvi and his staff have visited the coastal areas of Arambol, Mandrem and Ashvem, where they have been announcing various safety measures to the public.
PI Dalvi said amid rising Covid cases in the recent days, he took over the responsibility to alert the public and tourists to wear masks in pubs and night clubs and also stick to other measures such as social distancing, especially in restaurants.
Apart from awareness, the Pernem police is also enforcing the law and booking those violating government SOPs and other guidelines.
