Former Velim Independent MLA may suddenly realize that plans to embrace the Congress party have come in for repeated opposition from a section of the partymen in the constituency. Velim Sarpanch, Saviobab D’Silva, was the first to convey to Goa desk Congress observer Dinesh Gundu Rao not to induct Benjaminbab into the Congress. It is now learned that Velim Congress ZP member Juliobab Fernandes, a close aide of the Velim Sarpanch, has threatened to resign from the Zilla Panchayat if Benjaminbab is inducted in the party-fold.
