Compared to the BJP MLAs and supporting MLAs participating in the Margao carnival float parade, one BJP leader who must have had the last laugh was none other than former MLA Damubab Naik. He was not seen anywhere in the open, organizing the Carnival festivities, but is believed to have played his due role in the return of the float parade back to Margao.
