When NCP supremo Sharad Pawar descended in the State on Friday, the news did the rounds that he would visit Navelim to strengthen the party organisation. The NCP leadership had even tipped the media on Thursday over Pawar’s visit to Navelim on Friday morning. As it turned out, however, there was no sign of the NCP chief in Navelim leaving a couple of leaders disappointed. State NCP chief Josebab Philip was quick to attribute Pawar’s absence in Navelim to his tight schedule. Sources, however, wondered whether it had anything to do with the mobilisation of workers to welcome the party supremo. Any takers?
