It is a sheer coincidence that Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) all-powerful national General Secretary Praful Patel was in Goa just at a time when Congress Goa desk in-charge, Gundu Rao, had visited the state. While Gundu had ruled out an alliance with the NCP in Goa, saying the Maharashtra alliance formula is not automatically extended to Goa, Praful too ruled out any alliance with the Congress in 2022. Are the two parties ruling out the possibility of jointly fighting the BJP in 2022, or is it too early to talk about alliances? Indeed bracing up for the 2022 battle.
