The growing bonhomie between once bitter rivals, MP Franciscbab Sardinha and veteran Luizinhbab Faleiro has become a talking point in Congress circles. Their animosity dates back to two decades back when Sardinhbab had brought down Luizinhbab’s government to become the Chief Minister after being sidelined in the scheme of things. The duo seemed to have finally buried the hatchet. Sardinhbab, last week, sanctioned Rs 50 lakh for the cemetery in Davorlim in Luzinhbab’s Navelim constituency. And, sources say the MP has proposed Luizinhbab’s name for the GPCC post if his candidature does not find favour with the high command. The Margao MLA-Girish duo must be closely watching the development.
