Unfazed by the Congress charge that he is supporting Independent candidate Cipru Cardozo to split the secular vote, Churchill was seen moving around Navelim to take stock of the situation. It’s now clear that Churchillbab had thrown his weight behind Cipru around a fortnight ago and declared it publicly only on Friday. In the meanwhile, Navelkars are trying to figure out whether Churchillbab had kept kumpar Luizinhbab in the loop before bating for the Independent candidate.

Is there anything lining up on Velim Sarpanch Savio D’Silva’s birthday on Sunday? Well, the Velim sarpanch, who has emerged as a contender for the Velim Congress ticket after the victory of Julio Fernandes in the ZP polls, is expected to throw a birthday bash for his supporters. Sources say Saviobab is scheduled to open the office of Velim ZP member Julio in Chinchinim, indicating he is all set to move beyond Velim and prepare ground ahead of the 2022 Assembly election. Well, Aquemkars seemed anxiously waiting for Diggu to finalise the candidate for Ward No 18, seeking to know whether son Yogiraj will make his political debut from the ward in the ensuing polls. That also brings to the fore the question how will Diggu accommodate former chairperson Ganashyam Shirodkar, who too had set his eyes on Ward No 18 before it was reserved for OBC and again de-reserved after the SC verdict. Many questions still remain unanswered.
Assembly or campaign! Task at hand for Vijai
Hazard a guess how would Goa Forward chief Vijaibab Sardesai grapple with a situation when he would be required to attend the Goa Legislative Assembly session, beginning from March 24 and also campaign for his Fatorda Forward candidates back home? Well, Vijaibab, who had put up a host of questions, is believed to have decided to shuttle between Fatorda and Porvorim every day during the session instead of putting up in the State capital. And, if sources are to be believed, the Fatorda MLA may just make his presence felt in the House during the Zero Hour, before returning home to resume door-to-door campaign in the run up to the crucial poll for the Margao Municipal body.
