Goa Forward Chief Vijaibab Sardesai may suddenly realize that though he ruled the Margao civic body for five years, the proposed Fatorda Municipal Council could not become a reality. After joining hands with the saffron brigade to make late Manohar Parrikar the state’s Chief Minister, Vijaibab had placed a host of demands, including the demand to carve out a separate civic body for Fatorda. While Vjiaibab succeeded in setting up a separate police station for Fatorda during Manoharbhai’s tenure, plans to make a separate civic body for Fatorda failed to take off.
