Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre, Assagao defeated Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, Margao by 7 wickets in the Goa University inter-collegiate cricket men championship, at Goa University cricket ground, Taleigao.
The toss was won by Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College who elected to bowl. Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, Margao posted 89/8 in 20 overs. Zubair Safi 24(34) and Karthik Shinde 15(17) were the main contributors of the innings. Aryan Narvekar (3/15), Om Madgaonkar (2/20) were the most economical bowlers for the Assagao college.
In reply, Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College chased down the target in 9.1 overs.
Vinayak Kunte 47(24) and Aryan Narvekar 25(18) helped in the chase. Samruddha (1/26) stood out among the Engineering College bowlers.
In the second match, Fr Agnel College, Pillar defeated PES College of Education by 8 wickets.
The toss was won by Fr Agnel College, Pillar and elected to bowl. PES College of Education were restricted to 50 runs in 15.4 overs. Gauresh Shelke 9(10) was the highest run getter. Pranav Naik (2/09) had the best bowling figures of the innings.
In reply, Fr Agnel College chased the target with ease in 7 overs. Anuj Bikoji 17(19) top scored for Pilar.
