Sao Jose de Areal Sports Club secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Velsao Sports Club in the GFA First Division League at Rosary Ground Navelim on Sunday.
Sao Jose de Areal dominated the match from the start, breaking the deadlock in the 5th minute as Salvin Fernandes slotted the ball past the rival goalkeeper with a snap shot. Just a minute later, Sanvesh Palkar extended the lead with a well-placed shot into the far corner of the net.
Buoyed by their early success, Sao Jose de Areal intensified their attack, and in the 20th minute, Aryan Carvalho added his name to the scoresheet. In the second half, Sao Jose de Areal continued to press for more opportunities, but the scoreline remained unchanged.
