Curtorim Gymkhana edged out Navelim Villagers Union in a dramatic tie-breaker after the two sides played out a 1–1 draw in regulation time in the 1st All Goa Inter Village Mansion House Cup 2025 on Saturday evening at Cuncolim Ground.
The breakthrough finally arrived in the 26th minute when Ryan Fernandes calmly slotted home following a well-timed assist, putting Curtorim deservedly ahead.
Navelim struggled to impose themselves in the first half and trailed 0–1 at the break.
Just after the restart, as Navelim pressed higher, the pressure paid off in the 64th minute. Selvin Gomes delivered a moment of magic, weaving past three defenders with brilliant footwork before finishing with composure to make it 1–1. Just moments later, Gomes nearly struck again, but Curtorim goalkeeper Johnson Bhagot made a crucial save to deny him.
With no winner in regulation time, the match headed to penalties. Navelim’s Ronaldo Pereira and Noah Luis found the net, but it wasn’t enough. Curtorim held their nerve, with James Fernandes, Fredy Hilario, Joy Hilario, and Rhay Dias all converting their spot-kicks to seal a hard-fought win.
Curtorim's goalkeeper Johnson Bhagot was named Man of the Match. He received the award from Lavita Mascarenhas, former Chairperson of the Cuncolim Municipal Corporation.
