The Fit India Sundays on Cycle is a flagship initiative of the Government of India launched by Hon’ble Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, in December 2024. A total of 52 editions has taken place over the last one year, encompassing places like Kargil to Kanyakumari and Kokrajhar to Rajnandgaon.

The event has now shifted out of the nodal event in New Delhi to other States and UTs. After two successful events in Jaipur and Varanasi, the event is being set to be hosted in Goa on December 14.

As per official figures, over 20 Lakh citizens across India have been a part of this movement over the last one year, from almost 1.63 Lakh locations.

The campaign addresses two important issues of #FightObesity and #PollutionKaSolution, giving citizens an easy, fun way of staying fit while reducing carbon footprints.

The movement has seen participation from myriad groups, including armed forces, doctors, journalists, postmen, and more, besides youth and senior citizens. Close to 5000 NaMo Fit India Cycling Clubs, along with lakhs of everyday citizen, cycle regularly and participate every week, turning this initiative into a nationwide community-led fitness revolution.

The events are also organised across several Sports Authority of India Training Centres, National centre of Excellence, Khelo India Centres, Accredited Academies, Khelo India state centres of excellence, and more.

The Cycling Federation of India, MY Bharat and Yogasana Bharat remain constant stakeholders and partners for smooth conduct of the cycling drives every week.
