MARGAO
Swimmers from Margao RCC delivered an impressive performance at the 9th All Goa Swimming Competition organised by the Rotary Club Ponda Generation, at the Ponda Sports Complex.
Reuben Rocha stood out in the U-13 boys category, clinching three gold medals in the 50m freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke events, along with a silver in the 50m butterfly.
In the U-9 girls category, Raizel Rocha dominated the pool, winning four gold medals in the 50m freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly events. A similar feat was achieved by Jatin Singh Kaira in the U-9 boys category, where he secured gold in all four 50m events.
Aradhya Pradeep Borkar, competing in the U-11 girls category, bagged a gold medal in the 50m breaststroke and added two bronze medals in the 50m freestyle and backstroke events.
In the U-15 category, Sanititus Cassiano Rebelo earned a silver medal in the 100m breaststroke and a bronze in the 100m backstroke. Himank Kumar also contributed with a bronze medal in the 50m butterfly in the U-11 category.
Other participants from Margao RCC included Kenisha D’Costa, Lancio Luke D’Costa, Daksh Golatkar, and Ditya Golatkar.
All swimmers are trained under Margao RCC coach Inacio “Netty” Raposo, whose guidance played a key role in their success at the competition.
