There was no score at half time.
Both the teams adopted aggressive approach and kept the crowds on their toes. Strikers from both teams created equal number of scoring chances but their forwards squandered away from hand-shaking distance. Many a times they flattered to
deceive.
Crossing over, Ambelim Sports Club proved to be a dominant lot with their forwards showing the spunk and tormented the rival defence with sporadic raids. The goalkeeper was tested on many occasions but he stood firm under the bar.
Ralf Fernandes rocked the Nerul citadel in the 55th minute when he beat the rival goalkeeper with a clinical finish.
Spurred by the success, Ambelim Sports Club intensified their attacks and in the 60th minute, Jade Colaco doubled the lead with a stiff shot to take a 2-0 lead.
When the imperious, Jackson Fernandes finally pulled one back Nerul supporters saw a glimmer of hope but that effort was a little too late in the end as Ambelim held on to their lead.
