The Shiroda Royals Sports and Cultural Club Shiroda will organise Shiroda constituency level 'Amdar Chashak 2015' football tournament on December 13 and 20. The tournament will be held at Karai-Shiroda.
The President of Shiroda BJP block and Zilla Panchayat member Deepak Naik Borkar and president of Shiroda Royals Vinod Shirodkar on Thursday addressed news conference in the city and informed about the tournament. Treasurer Devraj Talaulikar, Kapil Borkar, deputy Sarpanch shiroda Aandrew Duardo, Bethora Sarpanch Punam Samant, Pankaj Naik and others were present on the occasion.
ZP Borkar said that after BJP came in power in the year 2012, it had formed Goa Football Development Council and under that more than hundred youths from Shiroda have taken training. “MLA of Shiroda Mahadev Naik has always tried his level best to encourage the sportsman from the constituency. Hence this is also an effort to give them further boost,” Borkar said.
He said that last date of receiving entry is November 25. Deeepak Naik Borkar, Devraj Talaulikar, Kapil Borkar or Pankaj Naik can be contacted for entry.
Other than individual prizes, the winning team will receive Rs 25,611; runners-up will get Rs 20,311. The semi-final losers will be entitled for Rs 5,011.
