Amit Talekar was named as the champion of champions, while Pit Bull Gym won the team championship at Mr Vasco 2018 body building competition which was held recently near Mormugao Municipal Council
(MMC).
The event, organised by Viresh Hiremath, Vishnu Uskaiker, and Team Bliss, was presided over by chief guest, MMC ward councillor and ex chairman MPDA, Krishna (Daji) Salkar, Jose Philip D’Souza (former revenue minister) and Adnan Siddiqui of Karma Constructions.
Speaking on the occasion, Salkar said that of late, a lot of youth have started taking up bodybuilding seriously which is an encouraging sign.
“Bodybuilding requires a lot of discipline, lifestyle changes with a lot of passion and patience. I urge the youth to avoid banned substances and to build their physiques as naturally as possible,”
said Salkar.
