Ashwin Narsinghani from Maharashtra advanced to the third round of the men’s singles segment of the ongoing Gadre Gaspar Dias Open 2026, overcoming his opponent Arnav Bansode 6“2, as action in the Open category of the prestigious tennis tournament continued at a brisk pace at the Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias and the Panjim Gymkhana courts, with a series of competitive men’s singles and doubles matches played across multiple sessions of the tournament.

In some fixtures at the Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias courts, Raoul produced a dominant display to defeat Ojus 6“0, while Vishwambhar extended his strong run with a 6“0 win over Atharva Paranjape. Nitesh Bhansali edged past Shreyas Sankaran 7“5, and Shrish Lohiya defeated Vidaal 6“1.

In another hard-fought encounter, Sreyas Prasad prevailed over Rushil 7“5. Subhash Nayar got the better of Pankaj Naik 6“1, while Maaz Khan blanked Vinod 6“0 and Ashwin Narsinghani overcame Santosh D 6“1. Rushil recorded a 6“0 win over Amulya, Ashwath D beat Neal Gandhi 6“1, and Arnav Bansode accounted for Amber Yadav 6“1.

Raviteja Damera edged Shaurya Awasthi 7“5, Shrish Lohiya beat Krishna Volvoikar 6“4, Prathmesh Patil cruised past Raviraj Tilve 6“0, and Santosh D defeated Raviteja 6“3. Joshua Cardozo came through a tight contest against Fatha Ali 7“6 (4) and Maaz Khan defeated Priyank 6“0. Shreyas Sankaran beat Bohdan Horlo 6“1, Ashwath D defeated Ishaan 6“1, Paul Singh beat Dnyaneshwar 6“1, Vinod Chandra got past Vihaan Krishnan 6“1, and Parth Deorukhakar registered a 6“0 win over Rushikesh.

At the Panjim Gymkhana courts, Ryan Sodhi opened his campaign with a 6“1 win over Rahul Jain, while Kshitij Gupta defeated Siddharth Nunes 6“1. Arnav Harishankar overcame Sreenath 6“3, Praneeth V beat Sonu Todu 6“2, Neale Fernandes edged Omkar Sathe 7“5, Sujit Sahoo defeated Bhalchandra Gaitonde 6“4, and Mohith Manoharan got past Aayush Chawla 6“4.

In doubles action, Shrish Lohiya/Aaditya Lahori beat Bhalchandra Gaitonde/Ganesh 7“6 (3), Harren A/Omkar Sathe blanked Shivam Singh/Suraj Pombra 6“0, and Mohith Manoharan/Krishna Volvoikar defeated Shivam Pande/Tejas Gaikwad 6“2.

Jointly organised by Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias and the Gadre Group, in association with the Goa State Tennis Association (GSTA), the tournament has received a record 555 entries across the Masters and Open segments.
