Betalbatim Sporting Club secured a place in the quarterfinals of the 15th Fatima Cup 2026, organised by Dicarpale Sports Club, after edging past Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda 7-6 on penalties at the Dicarpale ground on Tuesday.
The teams could not be separated during regulation time as the match ended goalless.
In the ensuing penalty shootout, Betalbatim converted through Oliver D'Souza, Joel D'Silva, Brenson Fernandes, Raj Kerkar, Riyam Asampur, Fedrickson Fernandes and Porsan Mondal.
For Don Bosco Oratory, Roque Borges, Joston Dias, Judson Soares, Rio Fernandes, Ashley Andrade and Richie Vaz found the net.
Betalbatim goalkeeper Raynel Pereira was outstanding between the posts and was adjudged Player of the Match. The award was presented by club member Jeron Niasso.
