Camron Boys Ambaulim defeated Tyson Brothers 3-1 to clinch the Our Lady of Fatima Cup 2023 played at Our Lady of Fatima Sports and Cultural Club ground, Baida, Chinchinim on Saturday.
In the first half, Savlon Fernandes of Camron Boys, Ambaulim dribbled past Tyson Brothers defenders but shot wide in the 5th minute.
In the second half, Jesfon Fernandes took a powerpacked shot and scored a goal for Camron Boys in the 34th minute, than Teran Fernandes doubled the lead for Camron Boys in the 50th minute. Michael of Tyson Brothers reduced the margin in the 52nd minute. Anthony Fernandes scored for Camron Boys and secured their win 3-1 in the 60th minute.
Prized were distributed category-wise: Best goalkeeper - Ivan Fernandes (Camron Boys); Best Midfielder - Clifton (Tyson Brothers); Best defender “ Folly (Tyson Brothers; 1st Scorer: Jesfon Fernandes (Camron Boys); Man of the match: Savlon Fernandes (Camron Boys).
The Chief Guest Cruz Silva, MLA, Velim constituency gave away the prizes.
