MARGAO: Candolim Veterans produced a clinical performance to register a convincing 4-1 win over Loutolim Veterans in the 1st All Goa Late Alvernaz & Lalush Memorial Veterans Football Tournament 2026, organised by the Youth of Fatrade at the Varca SC Ground on Sunday.
Shankar Palekar was the star of the match, firing a superb hat-trick to spearhead Candolim's dominant display. Jack Colaco also found the back of the net to complete the scoring for the winners.
Loutolim Veterans managed to pull one back through Santan, but it proved to be only a consolation as Candolim maintained control throughout the contest.
