Cuncolim Education Society (CES) College of Arts and Commerce started their campaign in the second season of Reliance Foundation Youth Sports on a triumphant note defeating Shree Damodar College of Commerce and Economics, Margao 4-2 at Government Village School grounds, Ambelim on Wednesday. CES were trailing 1-2 at half-time.

CES College started the game with an attacking intent and broke the deadlock in the 10th minute when striker Glen Fernandes deceived the rival defender and unleashed a left footed drive to beat the rival goalkeeper hands down.Down by 0-1 , Damodar College intensified their attacks and Stephen Satarkar punted the ball to the far corner of the net with half hour on the clock. Stunned by the equalizer, Damodar went into attacking mode and Abhay Shetty regained the lead just before half time. Post resumption, CES showed more urgency and their player swarmed all over the rival territory with striker Glen Fernandes striking a second time to put his team on equal terms. Ruflon Fernandes regained the lead for Cuncolim and Arif Pathan sealed the rival's fate in the 80th minute to troop out worthy winners.Glen Fernandes who scored a brace was named player of the match.
