Sporting Club of Davorlim overcame Parish Youth Vagator Sports Club 4-2 via the tie-breaker in the quarter-finals of the 10th All Goa Late Pio Jose Goveia inter-village football tournament held at the Colvale Church ground on Tuesday.
It was an action packed match with both the teams displaying a lot of energy and played with freedom. They both strived hard to win but finally it ended with a draw. The full-time score was 0-0 with neither teams being able to register a goal.
In penalties, Sporting Club of Davorlim won 4-2. Agnelo Colaco, Joel Colaco, Stendly Miranda and Venson Furtado scored for the winning side. Vinayak and Akshay Dhabolkar scored for Parish Youth Vagator Sports Club.
Jodrell Gomes of Sporting Club of Davorlim was adjudged the man-of-the-match. After this 4-2 victory, Davorlim reached semi-finals.
