Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda secured a place in the semifinals of the 25th Holy Cross Football tournament by defeating Ambelim Sports Club 3-0 at Vhoilem Moll Kakoda on Thursday.
DBO started the game with an attacking approach and took an early lead in the 5th minute through a brilliant header from Joel Colaco. DBO continued to create chances but failed to convert them into goals. DBO scored their second goal through Maxwell Furtado in the 50th minute and their third goal from a 30-yard shot by Hanslum Furtado in the 55th minute.
Davorlim Sporting hammer UC Benaulim
Davorlim Sporting Club thumped United Club Benaulim 5-0 to enter the quarterfinals of the Davorlim Panchayat Cup football tournament organised by Davorlim SC and played at Davorlim ground on Thursday.
Davorlim netted through Adman Gomes, Cindroy Furtado's brace, and goals from Milton Colaco and Filroy Colaco in the 22nd, 25th, 40th, 49th and 50th minutes, respectively.
Summer badminton coaching camp at Campal
PANAJI: Goa Badminton Association will conduct a summer badminton coaching camp, “Learn to Play Badminton”, for children 6 years and above. The coaching camp will be held from May 8 to 31 at Indoor stadium, Campal, Panaji, from 10 am to 12 noon.
The camp will be for complete beginners as well as for intermediate and advanced players to improve their skills. There will be shuttle feeding sessions to improve strokes and game, skill tests and competitions, fitness workouts and fun games.
