The Fatorda team's defense played with tenacity, bu DBO did not have to wait for long for the breakthrough in the 7th minute when Charles Miranda sent a low cross inside the rival penalty which caught the rival defense on wrong foot and the lurking Cliff Barretto made no mistake in punting the ball in. Buoyed by the goal, DBO lashed the Dicarpale citadel with ripples of attacks. The second goal came in the 11th minute when Quadros unselfishly set up Charles Miranda who had an easy tap-in.
