A four-goal blitz including hat-trick by striker Dickson Alves enabled Socio Cultural Club, Loutolim hammer Cuncolim Union 7-1 and romp into the quarter-finals of Our Lady of Fatima Cup inter-village football tournament organized by Dicarpale Sports Club at Dicarpale grounds, on Saturday.
The winners led 2-0 at half time. Loutolim team virtually toyed with the rival defence and pumped in goals at regular intervals.
At the other end, Cuncolim Union looked jaded and failed to function as a unit and surrender their challenge without any fight. The big defeat looming over them took toll. Sandep Korde, Darren Gomes and Mark Fernandes were the other scorers for the winners.
