Dominant Goan FC drub FC Bardez 4-1

Aaren D'Silva scored a brace while Liston Colaco and Saviour Gama scored one each for Goan FC while Clinton Niasso netted one for FC Bardez.
Kicking off proceedings, both teams displayed attacking football. FC Bardez had some impressive runs into the box with Jessel Carneiro giving some noteworthy passes forward to his team-mates. Fifteen minutes into the game, FC Bardez could have taken a lead through Kritikesh Gadekar but Goan FC defenders cleared the ball before it was too late.
Goan FC had a chance in the 30th minute as Liston Colaco's pass into the box to Aaren D'Silva missed the goal by just a few inches. On the counter attack, FC Bardez Joliston Rebello eased past two defenders only to find his shot into the hands of goalkeeper Iprotip Das.
The deadlock was broken in the 35th minute when Aaren D'Silva received a comfortable pass into the box by Liston Colaco and Aaren did no mistake to get himself onto the scoresheet with a low shot into the nets. But four minutes later it was FC Bardez who earned a penalty and striker Clinton Niasso made no mistake to find the equaliser.
Both the teams went into the half with a hard fought 1-1 scoreline. Moving into the second half, Aaren D'Silva found the nets again in the 46th minute as Liston Colaco's shot on target was mishandled by goalkeeper Aliston Fernandes. Thirty seconds later Goan FC netted another as Yasir Mohammad had an impressive run and found his team-mate Liston in the box who made no mistake in scoring his first of
the game.
On the other side, FC Bardez kept trying to reduce the margin through shots by striker Clinton Niasso. With 18 minutes left in the game, FC Bardez forward Clinton had an impressive run through the midfield but the Goan FC defenders denied him any chance of entering the box. In the 75th minute, Yasir sent a pass to Aaren, who then flicked it over the keeper only for it to land just a whisker away from the goalpost.
With five minutes left for the final whistle, Liston's shot on target off a free kick was pushed away by the FC Bardez goalkeeper but Saviour Gama had an easy shot into the goal off the goalkeeper's rebound to add his name onto the scoresheet.
With a good crowd support for both the teams, it was Goan FC who had the happy smiles at the end of
the game.
