MARGAO: Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda secured a convincing 3-1 victory over Curtorim Gymkhana, advancing to the quarterfinals of the Betalbatim Villagers Cup 2024, organized by the Betalbatim Sporting Club at the Betalbatim village panchayat ground on Thursday.
Edgar Noronha opened the scoring early with a goal in the 3rd minute and added another just after halftime in the 47th minute. Rishap Karapurkar further extended the lead with a goal in the 65th minute. Curtorim Gymkhana managed to pull one back through Veron Fernandes in the 20th minute, but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome.
Edgar Noronha was awarded the Man of the Match by Jose Pereira for his outstanding performance.
