In a thrilling final of the 7th All India Bhikoo Pai Angle Memorial U-15 Cricket Tournament, Dwarka Cricket Academy from Nashik emerged victorious over Adambakkam Cricket Academy from Chennai, winning by a narrow margin of 10 runs.
The match, played in a 45-over format, showcased the resilience and skill of both teams. After winning the toss, Dwarka CA opted to bat first but faced a challenging spell from the Chennai bowlers, managing to score only 113 runs before being all out in 44.2 overs.
Arav Ahire was the top scorer for Dwarka with 22 runs, supported by Shwas Ahire and Aliasger, who contributed 18 and 14 runs, respectively. The standout performers with the ball for Adambakkam CA were Pralhad Elamkulam, who took 3 wickets for 15 runs, and Vageeshwaran, who claimed 3 wickets for just 13 runs.
In response, Adambakkam CA seemed on track to chase down the modest target, reaching 97 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 30 overs. However, a remarkable turnaround by the Dwarka bowlers saw them claim the next five wickets for a mere six runs. Ultimately, Adambakkam CA were all out for 103 in 37 overs.
The final ceremony featured guests, including Vipul Phadke, President of the Goa Cricket Association, who served as the chief guest. Margao MLA Digambar Kamat, and Chirag Naik, a prominent social worker and businessman, were also present as guests of honour.
