Electricity Department continued their remarkable dominance in the Goa State Civil Services Cricket Tournament by clinching the title for the third consecutive year after defeating Directorate of Accounts by 37 runs in the final played at the Campal Cricket Ground recently.

Put in to bat first, Electricity Department posted a competitive total of *138 runs in their allotted 20 overs, with Dattaram Naik leading the charge with a crucial knock of 27 runs, helping his side build a defendable score.

Chasing 139 for victory, Directorate of Accounts struggled to build momentum and were eventually bowled out for 101 runs, falling short by 37 runs.

Naik emerged as the star of the final with a brilliant all-round performance. After top-scoring with the bat, he returned to make a major impact with the ball, claiming three wickets to dismantle the Directorate of Accounts batting line-up and guide Electricity Department to yet another title triumph.

The prize distribution ceremony was attended by Dr Ajay R Gaude, Director of Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, along with Prakash Satarkar, Scheme In-charge, and Anant Sawal, State Sports Officer, who congratulated the winners and participants.

With this victory, Electricity Department completed a memorable hat-trick of titles, reaffirming their status as the team to beat in the annual Civil Services Cricket Tournament.
