FCI lifted the All India Public Sector Sports Promotion Board (AIPSSPB) T-20 trophy after defeating the host ONGC by 2 wickets in the finals held at GCA, Porvorim on Friday.
Batting first, ONGC posted a target of 141/8 in 20 overs. Nitish Rana scored 38 and Milind Kumar scored 24 runs. Amir Gani took 3 wickets and Pankaj Jaswal took 2 wickets for FCI.
Chasing the target, FCI got off to a disappointing start but Rajender Bisht's 61 not out in 41 balls and Umang Sharma's 25 in 20 balls guided FCI to 146/8 in 19.5 overs. Amit Mishra took 3 wickets and Ishant Sharma took 2 wickets.
Rajendra Bhisht was declared the man of the tournament, the best batsman award was bagged by Nitish Rana and Amit Mishra was declared as the best bowler and the man of the match award went to Rajender Bhist.
The closing ceremony of the tournament was held in the presence of PK Taneja, Executive Director, HOI-IPSHEM, Chetan Desai, GCA President, Vinod Phadke, Honorary Secretary GCA, PK Peshin, DGM (Civil) ONGC, Vikas Sharma (Chief Manager) ONGC, and Gautam Vadera, Organising Secretary ONGC.
