Fr Agnel Youth Sports Club Paroda got the better of Guardian Angel Sports Club via tie-breaker 5-3 to enter the quarter-finals of Golden Jubilee inter village football tournament, organised by Uguem Rising Club, at URC ground, Uguem-Sanguem.
Though both teams displayed excellent moves, the rival defenders proved too good for letting the ball enter into their citadel leaving the score line 0-0 during the match regulation time.
The fag end of the match however saw some anxious moments with either team come closer to scoring but success eluded bot the teams.
In the tie breaker, Anthony Dias, Gladston D'Costa, Salvito Fernandes, Steve Menezes and Reagon Costa scored for Fr Agnel Youth Sports Club while Kegan Fernandes, Godwin Costa and Valerian Hilario found the net for Guardian Angel Sports Club.
Gladston Dcosta of Fr Agnel YSC was awarded with the man of the match award by Ex Captain of URC Diogo Fernandes.
