Fr Agnel's Technical Education Complex, Verna emerged winners and Goa College of Home Science were runners-up in the All Goa Inter-collegiate dead lift competition organised by GVM’s GGPR College of Commerce and Economics, Ponda in association with Trishul Sports and Cultural Association.
Alton Almeida of Damodar College, Margao was declared as the strongest man of the competition held at the GVM'S College auditorium in the men's section while Joviette Moniz from Goa College of Home Science was declared as the strongest woman in the championship. Nineteen colleges participated in the event.
The prizes were distributed by Dr Elroy Pinto, DPE, St Joseph Vaz College, Cortalim and SAG coach Santosh Mhapsekar, in the presence of Betty Dsilva, DPE of GVM'S College and Eshwar Naik of Trishul Club.
OL Lourdes-Valpoi U-14 cricket runners-up
PANAJI: Our Lady of Lourdes High School, Valpoi under-14 boys' cricket team secured a runners-up trophy in Sattari-Bicholim Zone tournament organised by Goa Cricket Association at Nanus ground, Sattari. The team was captained by Harsh Kudtarkar and coached by Surat Gawas. School PE teacher Mahesh P Naik also guided the team.
