Friends Cricketers Pernem won the Khasdar Chashak 2023 cricket tournament defeating Gauri Warriors, Priol by 10 wickets in the finals played at Bodgeshwar ground, Mapusa.
Batting first, Gauri Warriors made 79 runs in 8 overs. Friends Cricketers achieved the target in just 5.4 overs without losing a wicket. Gauresh Sawaldessai hammered 60 off 20 balls with the help of eight mighty sixes. Guaresh was picked as the Man of the Finals and Man of the Tournament.
Winners Friends Cricketers and runners-up Gauri Warriors got cash prizes of Rs 2 lakh and Rs 1 lakh respectively in the tournament organized by Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha, Goa Pradesh.
The first semifinalists Mahadev Cricketers of St Andre and second semifinalists Bhumika Xl of Siolim won cash prizes of Rs 25,000 each.
