Ritviz Parab from Salcete taluka won the 11th All Goa Online Chess League by defeating the sole overall league leader FM Nitish Belurkar to go level at the top with five gold medals.
The tournament was organised by Sanguem Taluka Chess Association on Oct 25. The tournament was held on chess.com platform with nine rounds in Blitz format.
Nitish from Tiswadi taluka finished second and Vivaan Balikar from Salcete taluka finished in third place.
The league has taken an exciting turn as Ritviz came from behind to win three tournaments in a row. The winner of the mega league will be decided after the final tournament of the league which will be held on Sunday, November 1 to be organised by Darbondora Taluka Chess Association.
