Goa missed an opportunity to take vital lead over Kerala in the Col C K Nayudu U-25 four-day cricket match at Alur Cricket ground, Bangalore.
Kerala scored 495 runs in reply to Goa’s first-inning score of 454 runs.
Resuming from 413 for 6, Kerala lost quick three wickets in the first session of the last day as the score read 436-9. Still required 19 runs to take lead over Goa with a wicket in hand, T Nikhil (36*) and last batsman F Fanoos (26 runs) dashed Goa’s hope of taking a vital lead and added 59 runs for the last wicket. Kerala got 3 points in the first inning lead while Goa settled with one point in a drawn match. For Goa Deepraj Gaonkar was the most successful bowler with 6 wickets. At the end of the match- Goa scored 113-4 in their second innings after trailing by 41 runs in the first inning.
