St Andre MLA Viresh Borkar has assured to seek a probe into the incomplete bridge at Dongorim-Mandur which is going nowhere and has benefitted no one.
Borkar gave the assurance when reporters questioned him about the bridge which is built across a creek but has no approach road and also heads nowhere.
“I don’t know the purpose of the bridge and who is going to benefit from it. But I will seek details into the same as it does not appear to be for public purpose. Also, I will ask for an inquiry into the matter,” Borkar informed.
“Currently, the government is facing a financial crunch, and the construction of such project is a colossal waste of public money,” he opined.
