In the Colonel C.K. Nayudu Elite Cricket Tournament, the Goa team has been set a target of 364 runs to defeat Kerala. Resuming from their overnight score of 37 for 2 on the second day, Kerala went on to post 279 runs in their second innings on Sunday. Varun Nayanar top-scored with 109 runs, while skipper Abijith Praveen contributed 75, and Jishnu added 40 runs.
For Goa, Anuj Yadav claimed a five-wicket haul, finishing with figures of 5 for 108 in 32.3 overs. Yash Kasvankar picked up three wickets for 106 runs, while Chigurupati Venkata took two wickets for 11 runs.
In their second innings, Goa lost Viraj Naik (15), Shardul Shet (3) and skipper Yash Kasvankar (22). Shaantanu Nevagi was unbeaten on 21, while nightwatchman Samarth Rane was yet to open his account at the close of play.
