Goa are on course to take a substantial first-innings lead over Bihar in their Colonel C.K. Nayudu Trophy Elite Under-23 four-day match at the Rajgir International Cricket Stadium. Goa were bowled out for 295 in their first innings, before reducing Bihar to 194 for 9 at the close of the second day.
Resuming at 217 for 5 on Day 1, Goa added another 78 runs to their total. Overnight not out batter Dishank Misquin (62) failed to add to his score, while Anuj Yadav (28) and Deep Kasvankar (32) helped Goa approach the 300-run mark. Goa's innings lasted 111.5 overs.
In reply, Bihar were once well placed at 185 for 4 while chasing Goa's total. However, the dismissal of well-set batter Prithvi Raj, who scored 90, triggered a collapse. He was stumped by Jivankumar off Anuj Yadav's bowling, after which Bihar lost five more wickets in quick succession.
Bihar will look to overnight not-out batter Ayush Anand (41) to help them reduce the deficit. Anuj Yadav was Goa's leading wicket-taker with four wickets, while Deep Kasvankar claimed three and Vinayak Kunte took two.
