Panaji: Goa's Darsh Sawant led AIM Cricket Academy (Sawantwadi) clinched victory in the Winter Cup Panchgani Under-12 Leather Ball Cricket Tournament, held in Panchgani, Satara, from November 7-10.
The team defeated Yashvi Cricket Academy from Pune in the final to claim the prestigious title.
As the captain of the AIM Cricket Academy team, Darsh played a pivotal role throughout the tournament. In a crucial league match, he scored 31 runs, forming a solid 94-run partnership with Mayank Ransool, who contributed 44 runs. This partnership helped AIM Cricket Academy secure a spot in the final.
Darsh's outstanding all-round performance earned him two individual awards: Best Batsman and Best Wicketkeeper of the tournament. Additionally, Tanmay Kalsulkar was honored with the Best Bowler trophy.
