Loyola High School, Margao beat Vidya Vikas Academy 3-1 to win the Salcete Taluka Under-17 Boys inter school table tennis tournament organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs at SAG Multipurpose hall, Fatorda. Bhatikar Model High School, Margao blanked The King's School, Sao Jose de Areal 3-0 to clinch the third place. Loyola HS beat Vidya Vikas Academy 3-1 (Wesley Do Rosario bt Sheldon Mascarenhas 11-1, 11-2, 11-9; Nathan Fernandes bt Nikhil Raikar 11-9, 11-4, 11-4; Ravindra Kudalkar lost to Kartik Ayer 7-11, 3-11, 7-11; Wesley Do Rosario bt Kartik Ayer 11-7, 11-9, 10-12, 11-6.

Manovikas outclass Vidya Vikas
MARGAO:Manovikas High School, Margao outclassed Vidya Vikas Academy, Margao 3-0 to emerge winners in the Salcete Taluka Under 14 girl’s table tennis tournament organized by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs at SAG Multipurpose hall, Fatorda. In the first match Radhika of Manovikas defeated Anaida Gracias 11-2, 11-6, 11-3. International paddler Tanis Kirtani made short work with an easy 11-1, 11-2, 11-3 win over Janhavi Naik Dalal while Tiara Fernandes completed the rout with a 11-8, 11-4, 11-7 win over Nocole Ferrao. The third place was bagged by Mahila Nutan English HS who scored a hard fought 2-1 win over Fatima Convent High School, Margao.

Major ranking badminton at Fatorda
MARGAO: The Margao Shuttlers Club will organise their 2nd all Goa Major Ranking Badminton Tournament from July 26 to 29 at Multipurpose Hall, Fatorda. Last date of entry is July 22. The categories are Boys & Girls Singles in U-13/15/17/19; Men's Singles/Doubles, Veterans 40 + Singles/Doubles & Veterans 45 + Doubles.
