Nathan Barua registered a comfortable 3-0 (11-7, 11-9, 11-7) win over Advait Mudras to win the Boys Under 14 title. rAaron Colaco was in cruise control as he beat Upendra Talavdekar without breaking much of a sweat. He won 3-0 (11-6, 11-9, 11-8). Top seed Simran Kubal too had it easy against Shivani Dhamapurkar, winning with an emphatic 3-0 (11-3, 11-5, 11-4) scoreline to clinch the Girls U12 title. Leoma Fernandes retained her title in Under 10 Girls category, defeating Sunidhi Sawaikar 3-0 (11-9, 11-5, 11-6) while Vivek Carvalho won his maiden title, beating Sidhant Parsekar 11-5, 11-8, 11-5 to win the Under 10 Boys event. The following players emerged semi finals prize winners: Joshiana S & Davia Pinto (U10 Girls); Sparsh Hodarkar & Arnav Saraf (U10 Boys); Anushree Naik & Trisha Hamanavar (U12 Girls); Kim D’Souza & Advait Mudras (U12 Boys); Trisha Hamanavar & Sneha Mesta (U14 Girls); Aaron Colaco & Upendra Talavdelar (U14 Boys)& Nikhil Jadhav & Priyam Redkar (U21 Boys). rThe championship was organised to commemorate the 85th birth anniversary of Late Ramacanta Dharwatkar, one of Goa’s foremost table tennis champions. Sidharth Kunkalienker, Ex Panaji city MLA and EDC Chairman, Mahendra Dharwatkar, sports promoter, and Panjim TT Club officials Selvyn Godinho, Joel Andrade, Sandeep Heble, Ajay Naik, Gaurang Bhangui and Nigel Menezes graced the prize distribution occasion.
