Lazy Boys Gonvol receive the trophy at the hands of Balkrishna Hodarkar.

Lazy Boys Gonvol emerged as the champions of Unity Sports Fiesta football tournament organized by Widin Curchorem Constituency after defeating Mix Friends Kumsai Assolda 4-3 via tiebreaker in the final at Figureido Ground Pontemol, Curchorem on Saturday.
The match was goalless at full time. Both teams showed an attacking intent but their forwards misfired from close range. The second half saw the teams show more urgency but the match winner eluded them. In the penalty shootout, Lazy Boys had the last laugh.
Lazy Boys Gonvol were awarded a trophy and a prize money of Rs 11,111 while Mix Friends bagged a prize of Rs 5,555 and a trophy.
In the junior category, Friends Circle prevailed over Mae dos Pobres 4-3 via tiebreaker. Friends Circle won a prize of Rs 22,222 and a trophy while Maedos Pobres had to settle for a prize off Rs 11,111.
A girls exhibition match and a match between veterans was also played. Brandon Fernandes, the India and FC Goa midfielder, was felicitated on the occasion at the hands of Balkrishna Pinty Hodarkar, Councillor of Curchorem. Digamabar Kamat, Opposition leader, South Goa MP Francisco Sardinha, and other CMC councillors graced the unction.
