The touring MCA and Sportsweek CC teams continued their dream run in the Kerala tour when they mauled the KCA U-14 and U-17 teams by 66 runs and 4 wickets respectively at the Medical College ground, in Trivandrum.
KCA U-14 elected to bowl, which proved to be costly decision as Deep Patra (13), Sarthak Dessai (29), Shantanu Nevgi (27) and Devan Chittem (30 not out) batted well for Sportsweek to end at 147/5. Shekhar Ramsith Christil and Akash took one wicket each for KCA U-14.
Some tight bowling by Saiesh Gaunkar (3 for 9), Aryan Prabhudessai (2 for 17) and Samarth Rane (2 for 6) helped Sportsweek bowl out the KCA side for 80 in 20 overs. Rudresh and Sarthak took one wicket each. Niranjan (28 not out) was the only batsman who offered resistance.
In a 25-over match, MCA won the toss and chose to bowl against Kerala U-17. Kerala batsmen tried to attack the bowling but it backfired as Saiesh Satardekar (4 for 11) ran through the Kerala innings. Chasing 54 to win, Arun Kadlkar scored an unbeaten 29 in 15 balls to win the match for MCA in 7.1 overs. Rahul was the most successful bowler with 4 for 23.
