MARGAO: Navelim Villagers Union dominated United Boys of Dando Colva with a commanding 3-0 victory in an electrifying encounter, organised by Dando Boys Club, at Dando ground Benaulim.
The match sparked into life almost instantly as Velington Almeida of Navelim found the back of the net in the second minute catching Colva off guard. Navelim should have increased the lead but Colva’s goalkeeper Micio made several critical saves.
The second half saw Colva struggling to find their rhythm, appearing disjointed and unable to maintain possession. Navelim capitalised on Colva’s disarray, with Prestly Gomes doubling the lead in the 38th minute and Travis Souza sealing the deal with a third goal in the 58th minute.
