Nerul oust DBO to reach semis

the goan I networkrPondarNerul Sports Club knocked out Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda to enter the semi-finals of 29th All Goa St Annes Festival Inter-Village Soccer 2017 organized by Ponda Footballers in association with SAG and Quadros Company played at Animal Husbandry grounds,Curti-Ponda.rThe match ended in a goalless draw and in the tie-breaker Nerul won by 5-3 goals. Throughout the match Nerul had an upper hand while Fatorda was unable to penetrate the defence of Nerul. Mathew and Siddharth were in their elements.rFor most part of the match, the ball was confined to the midfield and Nerul started on a positive note when Paul released a through ball to Janifar who shot straight to the keeper. Again Janifar had only the keeper at his mercy but ballooned over from close range. rFatorda could not penetrate Nerul defense and Francis took a long range shot which flew off the target. Nerul’s Paul shot from close range which was saved by Fatorda’s keeper.rIn the penalty shoot out, Akash, Deepraj, Siddharth, Paul and Aniket scored for Nerul while Valito, Clive and Neceil scored for Fatorda while Francis’ shot was saved. Now Nerul SC takes on Navelim Villagers Union in the semis.
