Both the teams had a tough time in adjusting the heavy ground condition following heavy showers. SCC Loutoulim had the first look at the rival goal through Sandeep Konde who shot into the hands of the rival goalkeeper, Flyod Colaco, with a feeble attempt.
Egged on by the home crowd, Nuvem went all out in attack, coming close to scoring in the 9th minute but Alrich Pereira’s rasping shot was kept away by Flager Moraes. Nuvem nearly found the match winner but striker Rogef Colaco’s smart header kissed the crossbar without doing any damage in the 26th minute. The Loutolim team came close but Anthony Araujo and Joseph Baptist missed the mark with their free-kicks.
In the penalty shootout, Merriston Coutinho, Rogef Colaco, Standly D’Mello, Schubert Colaco and Myron Pereira were on the target for Nuvem while Mark Fernandes, Prisco Mascarenhas and Doyl Alves found the mark for the Loutolim side.
