FC Goa coach Zico isn't shattered by the two-goal loss against Mumbai City and is in no mood to concede that this loss would in anyway derail the team's ISL campaign. As the team regroups for their next home match against Pune at Fatorda stadium this Friday, Zico looks back at the loss against Mumbai ruing at the fact that his team failed to materialise chances.
The Brazilian termed Sunday's game as "complicated". “It was a complicated game. We both had our chances, they scored we didn't but this is football. If you don't take your chances, you lose,” the great Zico said.
With 10 points from six matches, Goa continue to lead the table. When asked if the defeat on Sunday could derail their campaign, Zico said: “It’s a tough tournament with short games. Like last year anything can change in the last moment. And we don't care about anyone's result, only our results matter.”
FC Goa headed into this match having played Kerala Blasters FC on Thursday. When asked if the little rest between the matches played a part in his team’s second defeat this season, the Brazilian said: “This is a levelled tournament. All teams are the same. Teams don't have consecutive victories because there's little time to rest. And after no rest if you face an attacking team if might break your chain of winning.” Zico also praised Chhetri who scored his third goal of the season.
