Dempo SC beat Salgaocar FC 3-1 on Sunday in the Goa Professional League at Duler stadium, Mapusa.
The Golden Eagles took the lead after Salgaocar goalkeeper Raskshad Rathod blundered with a miscued ball and Under-20 midfielder Saiesh Bagkar poked the ball home in the 42nd minute.
Salgaocar responded in the 74th minute as Mark Carvalho's snap shot found the mark. Dempo struck the match winner in the 84th minute when defender Dareel Mascarenhas' stiff shot found the net, 2-1.
Things turned worse for Salgaocar as Under-20 player Neco Fernandes picked up the ball from Pedro Gonsalves deep from the left and bulged the net at the death. With the win, Dempo moved top of the league points table.
